MSW Logo is a programming language with open source content. On opening the Logo programme, you will see a triangle in the centre of the screen which is called the Turtle. Commands are typed into the commander window at the bottom which can be executed by the turtle. We used Logo to learn more about the number of sides and angles in 2-D shapes. Click on Logo Commands page to see a list of basic commands and their abbreviations.
Once we mastered most of the basic commands, we used the editor to teach all the commands in a basic shape as one complete execution. Click in Using the Editor to find out how to programme all the commands for a shape and to save it.
You can have lots of fun repeating basic patterns which create very nice designs. We copied these designs into Paint and from there used the fill-can tool to paint our designs.
